Holistic therapy

What we think we become

My journey

Annette Graham

I have been working with holistic therapies since 2006. I originally got into an ‘alternative’ way of healing when I found myself in the middle of divorcing my husband and becoming a single mother to two little girls. Coupled with bringing traumatic childhood issues into my adulthood, I became so overwhelmed by day to day living. I went to the doctors who immediately wanted to put me on anti depressants. For me, I knew I wanted to not blanket what I was feeling but find I different way. This does not by any means mean I belittle the use of anti depressants and the need for people to have them, it was just, something else was calling me. I stumbled upon an article about reiki, this form of healing just resonated with me, and at the same time a friend had just had another friend recently learn it, so I booked an appointment.

Throughout the session I felt relaxed, I did at the time expect miracles, I wanted that one session to fix me and I skipped along my merry way after. It didn’t happen like that, but it did change my direction in life and, give me a sense of peace and understanding. I knew I had to learn more, so I booked a course of learning reiki at level one, this in turn gave me more tools with which to deal with day to day living. I went on to learn level two and reiki master/ teacher level. I didn’t start living this spiritual life where nothing went wrong, it did!! I went on to still choose toxic relationships and situations and find myself in debt. By that time I hadn’t learnt to listen to my thoughts and what I was constantly telling myself. The reiki though stayed with me and was the support I needed. I went on to train in the anatomy of the body, massage, reflexology, acupressure, reiki drum shamanic healing, crystal healing, nutrition, karuna reiki, amongst other things.

I started Harmony and Balance in 2009, but not with the confidence and experience I have now, it has grown as I have. I wanted to pass on a different way of being to as many people as I can. I work physically if needed just for deep relaxation with a massage or energetically, looking at you as a whole. Everyone’s needs are individual, everyone’s journey is unique, with this in mind I listen to what you need intuitively and do all that I can to guide you to a happier way of being. I don’t poop rainbows daily and ride a unicorn whilst patronising how you should be living, but I do know there is no such thing as a bad situation, you are simply being redirected to a better way of living. That we have all the tools we need within us if we are willing to listen, that we have power over our thoughts and once we realise that it opens up a whole new way of being, that this life isn’t meant to be a struggle. Shit happens, we can’t control that, but we can control how we react, and when our body breaks down physically, it’s trying to tells us something. Two years ago mine did, big time, I was juggling 4 jobs forgetting all I had learnt and not trusting in myself, it made me reevaluate, regroup and take a different direction, my body started to heal again. I feel so passionate about passing all I have learnt to those I meet, to give them the tools to get the most out of life, life is for living.

Treatments

Swedish massage
Swedish massage uses softer strokes on the bonier and more delicate parts of the body, and stronger strokes where there is thicker muscle coverage. This sensitivity to pressure makes it ideal for relaxation.

Besides the calming benefits, Swedish massage is good for:

  • easing muscular strain by flushing out toxins
  • improving circulation by increasing oxygen flow in the blood
  • helping to keep ligaments and tendons supple
  • stimulating the nervous system
  • reducing emotional and physical stress

Within all my massage therapies, I use Neals yard organic essential oils. This is adapted to whatever emotional or physical need you bring to the session.

Warm bamboo massage
Gently warmed bamboo canes are used to give a deep massage. The heat from the canes makes the muscles relax and allows deeper manipulation. This Asian technique helps to detoxify and aid lymphatic drainage making it a good anti cellulite treatment too. This treatment will be personalised to target your areas of concern.
Trigger point massage
A trigger point is a tight area within muscle tissue that causes pain in other parts of the body. A trigger point in the back, for example, may produce referral pain in the neck. The neck, now acting as a satellite trigger point, may then cause pain in the head. The pain may be a dull ache, or sharp and intense.

Trigger point massage therapy is specifically designed to alleviate the source of the pain through cycles of isolated pressure and release. In this type of massage for trigger point therapy, the recipient actively participates through deep breathing as well as identifying the exact location and intensity of the discomfort.

The results and benefits of trigger point massage are releasing constricted areas in the muscles thus alleviating pain. You can experience a significant decrease in pain after just one treatment. Receiving massage with trigger point therapy on a regular basis can help naturally manage pain and stress from chronic injuries

Reflexology
Reflexology is the application of gentle pressure by the fingers and thumbs to certain specific points in the feet called ‘reflexes’. These specific points are mapped out in accordance with the anatomy of the body. The pressure applied during a reflexology treatment creates a stimulation of electrical energy flowing through the nerve pathways from the feet to the brain. The brain then sends these impulses to specific areas of the body and then encourages the body’s own natural healing potential.

This detoxifies the system, speeds lymphatic drainage and boosts the immune system. It is excellent for arthritis, asthma, back pain, colitis, digestive complaints, eczema, fertility problems, hay fever, hormone imbalance, joint pain, migraine, menopause, PMS, pregnancy related symptoms, rheumatism, tinnitis, vertigo and whiplash, and many other symptoms.

Crystal healing
An energy based system of healing. We are made up of different energies and when this becomes stagnant, unbalanced or unblocked, it can cause illness. Different types of crystals have different properties and energies. By having them near they can affect our energy on all levels, ‘mind , body and spirit’ in a most profound and positive way. I work intuitively connecting with you, then finding the right crystals to balance your chakras, revitalise you and clear blocks.
Acupressure seated chair massage

Chair Massage course is specifically designed for the back, neck, shoulders, the arms, hands and scalp. Seated Massage is also known as ‘On Site Chair Massage’ and ‘Acupressure Massage’.

Extremely Popular Therapy – Clothing does not need to be removed, ideal for the office.

It can be carried out in almost any setting from offices to the gym or even outdoors, at all types of events.

Many people use this therapy in offices, it is ideal as it is administered over clothing and is very effective for people with back and shoulder issues.

No creams or oils are used.

Reiki
Reiki (pronounced RAY KEY) is a japanese word meaning Universal life energy. This energy is used as a non-invasive healing technique which is profoundly relaxing. When the body and mind are relaxed, then healing and re-balancing can occur.

Reiki is an ancient art of healing given to the recipient by placing the hands lightly in specific positions on the body, or by hovering just above. The recipient may be seated or laying down, and remains clothed throughout.

Reiki enhances energy levels, brings inner calm, relief from stress, tension and physical ailments, there is no condition that reiki would not benefit from with this treatment.

It channels energy to the body in a particular pattern to heal and harmonise, intending to relax the body, clear blockages and restore vitality.

Reiki drumming
All cultures around the world have embraced the drum at some point in their history for healing, meditation, sacred ritual and for connecting with the Divine. Frame drums are some of the oldest musical instruments and there is evidence of ritual shamanic use as early as the Paleolithic Era. A revered and sacred tool of priestesses and holy men, indigenous shamans, nomadic and tribal communities, the use of the drum today for its ceremonial, spiritual, healing and therapeutic benefits has not changed a great deal since the time of the earliest civilisations.

Reiki is a system of natural healing which has also been in use for many thousands of years. Rei-Ki means spiritual energy or universal life-force energy. At an atomic level everything which exists in the Universe is made up of energy vibrating at different rates. Humans are also comprised of electromagnetic energy and in healing Reiki acts holistically, affecting all the energies comprising the human body, physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually. Reiki is non invasive and has been shown to effectively stimulate the relaxation response.

Combining Reiki and Drumming creates the Reiki Drum Technique, a method of utilising the drum to introduce Reiki energy into a person’s energy field to bring about deep relaxation thereby releasing deep seated tensions and achieving homeostasis. The drum rhythm reminds the body of its optimal vibration.

There have been many scientific research studies conducted to discover the effect sound and drumming have on the human body and psyche. Research has indicated that even drumming for a short period of time can induce an alpha state, brainwaves associated with wellbeing and euphoria. Drumming helps people express and address emotional issues, aiding in the removal of blockages and producing emotional release. Studies have linked drumming with positive effects on Alzheimer’s and Dementia patients, emotionally disturbed teens, recovery addicts and trauma patients. I have found this therapy amplifies the already wonderful healing of reiki alone, allowing a release of unwanted emotions and the body to return to its natural homeostasis state.

Reiki drum group session run once a month (first Wednesday of the month) £15 per session, held at Standon village hall

Shamanic healing
What is Shamanism?  It’s thought to be one of the oldest systems (20 – 30,000 years old), which has allowed man to seek connection with nature. Through listening to everything around us and in us, we are able to realise the true causes of dis-ease within the body.  Shamanism is concerned with what goes on beneath the surface of things – why certain situations occur in our lives and why we act as we do.

Shamanism takes nature as its teacher. It is concerned with the natural flow of life and with showing respect to our fellow creatures and to one another. North American medicine men are similar to African witchdoctors in their belief in the power of the earth. Those who share these beliefs have often been misunderstood and regarded with suspicion and fear. Medieval witches were burnt and, more recently, Native Americans killed and their ancestral homes seized. The Aborigines face discrimination, and the development of the modern world draws Inuit and other native peoples away from their traditional ways.

Many indigenous cultures and shamanic traditions believe that we are multi-dimensional beings, intimately connected to all of life including the animals, plants, water, earth, our ancestors, the stars and the worlds beyond.  We learn about ourselves by observing our environment, by understanding the ways of nature and our place in it. There has been a resurgence of interest in nature-based religions, shamanism among them. Shamanism is not complicated. Many people conduct their lives in a shamanistic manner without referring to it in that way. For others, the word shamanism describes this energy perfectly.

Power retrievals
Do you often feel powerless and unable to face the challenges that life throws at you? Life is tough sometimes – its how we grow, learn and evolve – and when we are feeling lost and struggling to cope with the latest upheaval,  we may need to call on spiritual assistance to help us navigate the lessons we are here to learn.

Nobody is born powerless, it is something that happens when others (sometimes without meaning to), take away our power. They’re the parts that are lost when you give away your power, your power has been taken from you or you have felt powerless either through difficult situations, arguments, bullying, relationships or trauma.  A teacher who doesn’t feel we should pursue a career as we are not academic enough, a dentist trip that caused pain then creates a lifetime of fearing dental appointments, relationships in which we were cheated on, corporate business’s which try and control their staff and supress innovation through fear can all take our power away, the list goes on. Shamanic Power Retrieval enables you to take back your personal power parts. When you stand in your own personal power, you are able to focus, realign with your full potential and live the life you were meant to live.

During your consultation and session, we will discuss in depth, the issues you are facing on an emotional and physical level, and then create a space for you to allow healing to be achieved at the highest level. Once our objectives have been realised, you will then get comfortable, place an intent for what will be achieved, then relax whilst I undertake a shamanic journey to the other worlds to discover the lost parts, power animal(s) and guidance that will empower you. They are blown into your heart, returning them to you and enabling you to re-integrate them into your being. Once your power has been returned you will receive a beautiful energy healing to seal in the power. After your session, I will share with you what I experienced allowing the energies to settle at the same time.

Sessions are approximately two hours, including the initial consultation

Soul retrieval

We all experience some form of trauma in our lives, and when we do, a part of our soul (our essence), may step outside of itself in order to deal with the trauma you are experiencing. Within full essence, we wouldn’t be able to deal with the lower vibrational experiences, so a part of us steps aside. The problem arises is when we don’t step back, leaving you with a feeling of emptiness, loss and the need to fill a void. People can look to fill this void with anything from alcohol, food, shopping addictions, drugs, poor relationships, and so forth. The trauma might be obvious (an injury, assault, war, accident, the death of a loved one, divorce, physical or emotional abuse) or it may exist in a more subtle realm. Sometimes trauma can even extend back to the womb or infancy and may stem from not having our needs properly met. Depression, dysfunctional relationships, a sense of separation, an inability to move forward can all be hallmarks of soul loss. Soul retrieval looks different for each individual. A few things are consistent: we look for soul parts that are ready and willing to be restored, and we go back in time as far as we can. Sometimes multiple ages appear, and sometimes, just one. working shamanically allows me to work with your energies and retrieve parts once lost and integrate them back to you, allowing you to feel more at ease with yourself, and able to create a happier more confident self.

Breathwork

”To our ordinary consciousness, breathing only serves to maintain our body. But, if we go beyond our mind, breathing can open up a completely new foundation of life. ” – Hsa Middendorf.

My first experience of breathwork was the most profound and cathartic release I had ever received. Simply by using my own breath under guidance, I was able to access deep traumas and emotions I hadn’t even realised sat within my psyche. After that first session, I was hooked and immediately trained in this beautiful technique so I am able to pass this knowledge and experience onto others. Improper breathing is a common cause of ill health. Together we will work on releasing old wounds through your breath, bringing much needed healing to the physical and emotional well being. When we work with our own breath, we are able to release tension, gain proper physical health, improve athletic ability, heighten mental concentration, build vitality, increase sexual energies and facilitate psycho- spiritual transformation. When breathing you oxygenate whatever part of the body/ brain where old memories are stored, releasing them. Many clients encounter early life events and clear away deep held beliefs about themselves and life. Conscious breathing actually retrains your nervous system to tolerate higher levels of energy. People often have deep spiritual experiences while breathing, which has a great healing capacity as it puts them in touch with this incredible power. Even people who have meditated for years find that breathwork will bring some of their most relevant spiritual experiences.

The Munay Ki rites

The prophecies of the ancient Americas speak about a period of great transformation, and foretell of new humans appearing on the planet – persons of wisdom and power who live free of fear and abide in their eternal nature, accepting stewardship for all creation.

Based on initiatory practices of the shamans of the Andes and the Amazon, the Munay-Ki are nine rites of initiation to become a person of wisdom and power. They are energetic transmissions that heal the wounds of the past – the genetic and karmic inheritance we are born with. They transform and upgrade the luminous energy field and re-inform our DNA, enabling us to grow a new body that ages, heals, and dies differently.

The rites of the Munay-Ki are: The Seers Rite, The Harmony Rite, The Bands of Power, The Healers Rite, The Daykeepers Rite, The Wisdomkeepers Rite, The Earthkeepers Rite, The Starkeepers Rite, and The Creator Rite.

There are four fundamental transmissions of the Munay-Ki. The first awakens the seer within you, and the ability to see into the invisible world of energy and spirit. The second awakens the healer within you, and also launches your personal healing journey. The third consists of energetic protections that enable you to walk fearlessly and with beauty in the world. The fourth connects you to a lineage of healers, Wisdomkeepers and Earthkeepers from the past – and the future – who will work with you and through you.

These rites were first given to ancient teachers by angelic beings, and now are passed on from teacher to student in the form of seeds. Once these seeds are gifted to you by another, it is up to you to grow them into fruit-bearing trees. The traditional fire ceremony  — sometimes in the form of plain white candles – is used to grow your rites once received. As you receive and gift these rites, you will sense the presence of the lineage with you — the luminous ones who work from the spirit world.

These rites are not only stages of initiation, but possible steps for the evolution of humanity. As nations fight for bits of territory and battle over land, we must find the wisdom to create peace among all peoples. As our space telescopes show us images of a vast and immeasurable Universe, we must find a human story that is inclusive of the stars. And as our ability to destroy the world increases, we are called to step up to the task of assuming stewardship for all creation.

In essence, the rites are about stewardship. They are not ego-awards or recognition of any kind of achievement, nor do they make anyone special. On the contrary, they make one uniquely unimportant. Only then, from a position of no-ego, can we truly be of service.

In the Quechua language, “Munay” means universal love. “Ki” is from the Japanese word for energy. Together, these words mean energy of love. After you go through the nine rites of the Munay-Ki, you can begin to dream the world into being – the world that we want our children’s children to inherit.

You will receive all of the nine rites over two days. In receiving them you will experience a vibrational shift as you step into your power as an Earthkeeper, a steward of this beautiful planet we reside on and must take care of. Receiving the Munay Ki allows you to see the bigger picture and understand more of the Divine Plan of which your life is part of. You will attain deeper clarity into your life purpose on this earth walk, as you follow your potential, passion and purpose with ever increasing joy and wisdom. As your vibration is raised, those things which no longer serve you will fall away allowing you to experience deep energetic shifts as you follow the principles of the Munay-Ki:- non-violence, truthfulness, integrity, moderation and generosity. As you change, so will the external world seemingly change as your energy becomes more flowing and more in alignment with the new you and who you were always meant to be. You will view the world with new eyes and see the beauty present with a more peaceful, harmonious and loving perspective. The tools you gain during the workshop will increase your ability for personal healing as well as to assist others in their healing journeys. Your energy field will also become stronger and more resistant to lower vibrations allowing you to walk fearlessly in the world.

The rites will call to many of you and are open to anyone with an interest in personal development wishing to align with Munay. There is no pre-requisite to attend, just a curious interest and an open heart.

This workshop takes place in Hertfordshire and at the end of the workshop you will have received the Nine Rites of passage into Munay-Ki and be able to pass these rites on to others. You will be provided with a comprehensive manual and a crystal pi-stone and on completion of the ninth rite, you will be issued with a certificate.

The 13th Munay Ki Rite, the rite of the womb

Come and join me for the 13th Munay Ki Rite, the rite of the womb.

Within this beautiful sacred ceremony you will heal stored pain in your wombs from this lifetime, as well as pains inherited from your mothers, grandmothers and those who came before them. The rite of the Womb is a very powerful loving energy transmission that will restore the natural balance of your creative centre. The Rite of the Womb is a blessing of the Womb, our sacred place of creation.

Many women are still carrying the pain and resentment of their mothers, grandmothers and female ancestors. Some feel the wounds of a past life or had traumatic experiences in this lifetime that block their joy and happiness and prevent them from connecting with their feminine power. The healing energy of this blessing will reactivate your feminine power.

The feminine spirit of the jungle reminds us of this simple and vital truth:
The womb is not a place to store fear and pain;
The womb is to create and give birth to life.

Let’s heal our womb; let’s heal our mother’s, sister’s, and daughter’s wombs. And in this way bring healing to our Mother Earth.

The Rite of the Womb, 13th Rite of the Munay-Ki, is a contemporary ritual, birthed into being by Marcela Lobos, a medicine woman initiated in the healing and spiritual traditions of the Amazon and the Andes. The Munay-Ki are a series of rituals brought to the West by Marcela’s husband, Dr. Alberto Villoldo, distilled from his work as a medical anthropologist with the high shamans of South America.

As Dr. Villoldo says, “Rites of passage and initiation have been practised for millennia by all peoples in the Earth. The rites of the Munay-Ki are based on initiatory practices of the shamans of the Andes and the Amazon. They are stripped of all trace of the indigenous cultures they come from. I did this to respect the native traditions, and to avoid the idea that persons from the West can become traditional shamans or Indians.”

We have to let suppressed emotions arise, we have to deal with conflict instead of hiding from it. We have to stop people pleasing. We have to learn to say NO and not feel guilty about it. We have to take time for self-care. We have to realise our full potential and live it. We have to stop living through the eyes and control of others. We have to stop living through our children. We are our own fresh start. Womb healing gives us a chance to be reborn.

During this healing, you will be introduced to the concept of the munay ki. You will only be initiated into the 13th rite, the womb rite, during the session. We will sit in circle opening our heart space with cacao, beautiful heart medicine, be led into guided meditations to heal and connect to deeper energies through the medium of shamanic drumming and channelled energies, and reconnect to your sacral, clearing out unwanted energies blocking your flow of creativity and joy.

My womb was removed 13 months ago, and I can honestly say I feel more connected to it now than I have ever been, more in tune with my femininity and my divine essence and open to joy and lifes experiences, simply through the healing receiving with the Munay Ki and the lineage that comes with it.

If I had a hysterectomy can I receive this rite?

If your uterus was removed is even more important that you receive this rite. Energetically you still have your womb and it is vital that you reconnect with it to reclaim your feminine wisdom and power. After you receive the rite it is fundamental that you nurture it every dark moon to heal any imprints of pain and sorrow and step into joy and compassion.

Can pregnant women receive the rite?

This rite is a blessing for the mother and the baby since it will inform both beings. Nevertheless it is important to give it with extra gentleness and reverence for life, and also to honour the intuition of the mother to be.

What about if I’ve had an abortion or miscarriage?

Most definitely. This rite helps to remove any imprints of pain or sorrow and move forward because the womb is not a place to store fear and pain.

What about men?

All life comes from the womb of the Earth and all men come from a womb. It is just as important that men become womb keepers, as it is for women.

Can men receive the rite?

This rite is to heal the womb and occasionally there is a man that feels the need to heal his psychic womb. Sometimes these men had very traumatic experiences in their mother’s wombs or had a very dysfunctional relationship with the feminine aspect of life.

If a man asks to receive this rite with a sincere heart then is appropriate to share it with him.

Extraction technique

Shamanic extraction is the removal of displaced energy, sometimes called intrusions. This is energy that does not belong in the body and may cause illness. We all are aware that emotional states can effect health. An intrusion is usually a thought form thrown at you, or self created, gaining momentum over time and taking over, creating a negative impact on your well being. Think of a time a teacher or guardian may have said you wasn’t good enough to pursue certain paths, that thought can stick and become much bigger than ever imagined -20 years down the line, ‘you’re not good enough’ becomes a powerful mantra that blocks your joy. Stress is acknowledged to cause backaches and ulcers. Shamans believe that your emotion takes the form of energy and can be stored throughout the body and eventually lead to illness. So you store your stress or anger in your stomach, or you get angry and send your anger out at someone. We can see this if can remember a time when someone’s anger or sadness seemed to have an effect on a room: “her anger hit me like a blow” or “you could cut the tension with a knife.” The energy that can be stored in the body does not have to be from anger but could be from other reasons as well. In the shamanic mind there is no distinction made based on where the energy came from. The shaman sees that the energy does not belong there and removes it. Depending on the shamanic practitioner and the nature of the displaced energy this can be a very quiet process. With some practitioners the extraction can be quite a show. The shamanic practitioner merged with a power animal may move similarly as his or her power animal. He or she may make the sounds of the power animal. For instance, if the animal is a snake the practitioner may hiss while removing the energy block. If you are interested in having an extraction, you can discuss this with your shamanic practitioner. They can perform the extraction in a way that you feel comfortable with. Sound instruments may be used, such as a rattle or a drum, to increase the power or the energy of the “magnet.” The shamanic practitioner may sing to maintain her or his shamanic state, or to increase his power during the process. The shamanic practitioner will dispose of the removed energy in various ways. They may transmute (transform) the energy into a more positive life enhancing energy. They may place it in water and have the water neutralise it. Once the extraction is performed the shamanic practitioner will fill the void in the client’s body, that was created by the vacated energy . The practitioner may replace it with healing energy, perform a power animal retrieval, or perform a soul retrieval. For me, personally, I am guided intuitively by where the energy takes me. I will scan your energy, locate blocks, and remove anything causing a negative effect within your psyche. It’s a vigorous and physical technique unlike simpler treatments like the retrievals or reiki. Any of the healings can have a deeply profound affect.

Chumpi healing technique

The Chumpi stones are used for healing, cleansing, they reconnect the energy centres Ñawis (also called chakras in other countries), give protection, and grounding. They are used to open, clear, and empower the person’s energy centres. it also can give soul retrieval if is need it. I was trained with the Apaza lineage at the Inca Medicine School, then initiated to work the chumpi stones to give beautiful healings. The masters showed me how to use their tools along with prayer to see where the negative energy is and then begin cleansing and healing to bring harmony to the 3 bodies; the spiritual, the physical and the energetic bodies of the person. “Chumpi” is a Quechua word that means “belt”. Each belt is part of “The Bands of Power” that are protective rings or energy fields that surround a person. Each is linked to an energy centre and acts to seal a person’s energy field and ward off harmful energies that would normally find their way through our natural energetic defences. Sometimes these energy centres become blocked, closed, or weakened. The Chumpis can draw out dense energy and blockages and open them to balance their flow to the uju pacha. Master Don Alejandro says, “The Chumpi Stones that I work with in my practice come from the Qero Nation in the Andean mountains of Peru. They are made of alabaster, and are hand carved by special artisans from my region. They are our main tools for healing. The ceremony is done with the person laying down. We concentrate, asking for permission from the sacred elements of nature and empower our tools to see what we have to work on for the benefit of the person when asking for healing.” – Master Paqo Qero Alejandro Apaza, My stones were birthed in the mountains of Peru by the Apaza family, before coming to me.

“this isn’t magic, nor is it voodoo, the client has to take full responsibility for being an active participant in their own healing. Together we’ll move mountains”

“The breath knows how to go deeper than the mind”

Wim Hoff

Annette’s Garden range

During 2020, I started studying plant medicine in depth, foraging local to my area and discovering age old ways of using our environment to heal.

From these teachings, the Annette’s Garden range was created. Working with the healing power of plants and the elements, as well as the powerful moons and celebrations through nature (think of the Summer and Winter solstice’s). The intent, love and energies poured into the products bring wonderful healings.

Included in the range are –

Healing salves  –

Made with simple ingredients and old ways, I created a salve that can be used for almost anything!

The plants used are, plantain, yarrow flowers, calendula flowers, rosemary and lavender. I picked these for their amazing abilities to heal wounds, soothe skin, create pain relief and relieve irritations.

They are picked, dried, chopped and soaked in olive oil for a certain amount of time between full moons, tapping into the potency of the powerful energies. They are then drained, mixed with locally sourced pure beeswax, poured into individual pots and topped with essential oils of lime and lavender, divine!

What can they be used for? Cuts, burns, bites, dry skin, chapped lips, achy muscles, and so much more!

Little pots of nature all ready for you to use.  -Price per pot is £7

Bath salts –

These salts are handmade with organic Epsom and Himalayan salts, Neal’s Yard essential oils, a healing crystal and handpicked petals and herbs. Every one of them is also infused with reiki healing, to encompass you every bath time.

They are great for detoxing, muscle relaxation, cleansing the aura and relaxing the body. The oils provide an added dimension. The scent of the salts can fade but will regain their aroma when added to water as the salt can absorb the scent. Stocked blends are Womans balance (The blend works together to harmonise body and mind. The rose and geranium also help to take the edge off your emotions giving you inner clarity. It’s particularly useful during hormonal changes, helping to restore any imbalances you may be feeling both emotionally and physically). Lavender (Naturally soothing, lavender oil is calming for your body, mind and wellbeing). And geranium and orange (an uplifting energy).  We also bring in bath salts relevant to different seasons, throughout the year.

Custom jars are available for your own preferences. Dozens of different crystals can be added and personalised labels should you wish, all at no extra charge. Salts are all priced at £10.

And then there’s the energy cleanser !

A wonderful spray to transmute the energies of yourself and the energies around you.

My botanical journey and connecting more to nature these last few years has helped me find more peace, health and create all natural products along the way. The cleansing spray is a complimentary addition to the homemade healing salves, and soothing bath salts as well as the therapies I do.

Each day I smudge the energies around me, keeping my vibration high. I have used white sage over the years or locally foraged dried plants. I wanted to create something that didn’t involve smoke, (which can be quite overwhelming or not practical at times) and to work with the energies around me.

This spray has been created from local plants, the energies of the moon, uplifting essential oils and filled to the bring with reiki –

Each month the moon becomes full and brings potent energy. I allow spring water to sit with fresh foraged mugwort and then charge under each full moon, bringing different qualities but potent in their own ways. This batch has been made under the August full moon, which was a super moon!  Intense, powerful and cleansing. The water was then left out during the day and absorbed the power of the sun, uplifting, revitalising and bringing balance to the moon.

The fully charged water was then strained, and essential oils of mugwort, lavender, lime and orange was added.

Mugwort is one of my favourite wild plants, brimming with amazing properties to cleanse, heal and protect. Working with mugwort this way allows you to tap into its ancient wisdom and power. Lime and orange oils will uplift and the lavender to bring a sense of calm back to you and living space. The bottles are then infused with intent from me and filled with the healing energies of reiki. A beautiful tear drop pendant of amethyst has been added to the bottle. Amethyst is known as nature’s tranquiliser, soothing, calming and ushering in peace.

Why cleanse yourself of space around you? Isn’t it mumbo jumbo? Have you ever walked into a room and felt an atmosphere, the remnants of an argument? Drawn to some people but not others? Had a headache or felt rough for no reason after speaking with someone? You’re experiencing energy, and energy is constantly flowing, but can get stagnant if left, creating a bad vibe in your home or yourself.

With this spray, simply open windows where possible (to allow flow to start), shake the bottle, spray on the mist setting and visualise old energies changing into positive, calm ones, it’s that simple! – Priced at £15 per bottle.

Hazel Jacobs from Hitchin says:

“Annette is one amazing ,lovely and generous lady. I was recommended to Annette 5 years ago and haven’t looked back since. She treats to whole of you with a beautiful range of treatments and techniques all coupled with her own very special spiritual gifts. I would recommend Annette unreservedly to anyone who needs help to master life and also just to relax and become yourself.”

Phil Joiner from Ware says:

“Sometimes life deals you harsh blows and for a while you are lost. It was just at this time that a good friend of mine suggested I contact Annette, whom he said did a ‘mean’ massage. Well it was time to start to treat myself so I made an appointment and discovered a very professional and brilliant masseuse. What was even more important was that she instinctively empathised with my pain. I quickly realised that I loved the relaxing massage for my body but. Also just by chatting to her was great therapy for my mind. On her suggestion I have also has reflexology and reiki, both of which have helped me come to terms with the past and made me look forward to a bright new future.

I could not recommend Annette more highly – lovely lady, professional, knowledgable and great at all the treatments. She deserves all the success in the world. XX”

Danielle Halley from Hoddesdon says:

“Annette was recommended via a family friend as I had been suffering 4-5 migraines a week whilst pregnant. When I met her, she was not only thorough and professional but incredibly warm and easy going. After my first session, my migraines stopped and I was comforted even further when Annette followed up on this to check how I was. I have had many other sessions with Annette because she is the only therapist I have found to read my mood and react appropriately to it. She makes me feel so comfortable that I cannot believe I haven’t known her all of my life. I have recommended her to many members of my family and friends – all who have loved the therapies she offers. She is incredible.”

Kerry Atkins from Stevenage says:

“I literally don’t know where to start in my recommendation of Annette and her amazing services!!! She has helped me so much over the years, and i would be truly lost without her. Recommended by a friend and I’m so glad i started going to her, Have been receiving reiki healing from her for almost if not longer than 2 years now.. and the change in myself is amazing.. she picks up on every mood and feeling and helps through the power of reiki to overcome hurdles of past and present life! one of the most caring people i have the pleasure of knowing.”

Rayner Chambers from Buntingford says:

“Annette is literally the most gifted person I have ever met. I trained in beauty therapy when I was younger and I absolutely hated having treatments elsewhere. My biggest disappointment at any place or spa was a massage, as they always seemed like a fly and didn’t listen to me and I had existing injuries I needed considering. Then I met Annette – She has done massage, Reflexology and Reiki healing for me – I can’t fault her. She makes you feel relaxed and zen the moment you enter her house. It also helps that she is one of the kindest and pure people I’ve met in a long time. Just superstar who deserves all the success. No, I am not a best friend, I didn’t know her before and I’m not being paid to do this – she is just great off her own merit.”

Alison Wilkinson from Puckeridge says:

“I truly believe Annette is an angel, literally! – I started seeing her when I kept getting injuries from run training and was recommended to her by a friend for some reiki. My leg is so much better but also my stress levels are better and I seem more able to cope with things. I’ve since seen her for other treatments and massage – all incredible. Everyone needs an Annette in their life, I’m so glad I’ve found one!

Anita from Loughton says:

“Today I was at my lowest for lots of reasons and my session of soul retrieval/reiki with crystals/ & shamanic healing/drumming was the most wonderful experience. It’s important to feel your in safe hands when fragile and having trust in the therapist is top of the list. Annette ticked all the boxes and more and was gentle but confident and gave me tools and advice to move forward”

Rachael from Buntingford says:

“I started coming to Annette in October 2019, I was initially nervous about my appointment as I didn’t know what it would entail! I to this day have no idea why I was so worried! Annette is a Queen! She is the kindest most loveliest person and I can’t tell you how amazing I feel after having reiki with her! I now go once a month and I am honestly in such a better place in my mind and soul than I ever have been! I look forward to my reiki sessions so much as I know they’ll help me feel better! Even if I can’t put my finger on why I’m feeling a bit ‘off’ Annette works her magic and I leave there feeling so much lighter and free!
It’s a truly safe place to be poor Annette has seen me ugly cry and she has never made me feel embarrassed or ashamed for any of my feelings, in fact she whole heartedly encourages you to let them go!
I can not recommend harmony and balance highly enough! When Annette tells you things I can’t explain it but everything just makes sense. It’s literally like jigsaw pieces slotting into place!
Thank you Annette so much for helping and continuing to help me heal myself “

Karen from London says:

“Just wonderful. I can not recommend Annette enough. She is such a warm, professional and gifted healer and I felt at ease the moment we met. I had reiki/power retrieval and it was amazing – I felt more relaxed than I have in years! I live in London and booked as staying at Bethnal & Bec nearby but I will be making the journey back up to see Annette as she is is one of the most gifted and generous people I have met. Thank you!”

Hayley from Standon says:

“I have followed the page for a while, been interested in the treatments but hadn’t ever got round to putting some time aside to book myself one – it felt a bit indulgent! So I was really pleased to have had my name drawn to win a treatment at the beginning of the year. It was certainly a sign!

I had no idea which treatment to pick so Annette went through them and gave an explanation of their benefits and I chose a session of Reiki.

My first session was quite intense and emotional – I could relate a great deal with what Annette said after my treatment, and have consequently had monthly appointments since!

All have been different but so very relaxing – I love having a sleepy hour to myself, and afterwards I feel balanced and rested and ready to deal with our crazy life!

I would (and have!) recommended Annette to everyone!

For balance, de stress, perspective, grounding… I no longer look at my appointments as indulgent but just a bit of regular maintenance that happens to feel amazing! “

Hazel from Royston says:

“Annette taught me my first degree reiki (shoden) and second degree (okuden) want to say a massive thanks amazing support from this lady before during and after and support still ongoing….live days were magical … Annette is very patient and understanding and her energy very uplifting ..no question is to silly to ask…do not hesitate if thinking of booking to do first degree reiki with Annette…you will not regret!!!! A beautiful healing energy and a wonderful thing to learn…thankyou again lovley lady”
